Andrew Peacock MD

Andrew is a doctor who has practiced medicine internationally and in a wide variety of conditions including remote areas with minimal equipment and backup.

In 1996 he volunteered to work at Himalayan Rescue Association in Nepal where he treated trekkers and gave daily lectures about altitude illness while living in the small village of Manang at 3500m on the Annapurna trekking circuit.

Andrew has worked as an expedition medical officer on a number of expeditions, they are as follows:

1999: on an expedition to climb to the central summit of Shishapangma (8013m) in Tibet where he also reached the summit along with sixteen other climbers.

2002: on an expedition to climb Manaslu (8163m) in Nepal where he reached the summit with four other climbers.

2002+: a number of High Arctic and Antarctic commercial ship based journeys

2010: two expeditions to climb Mount Kilimanjaro first with a charity group climb in August 2010 and private individual with Type 1 Diabetes in October 2010.

2010: working aboard a ’Superyacht’ on a transit of the Northwest Passage.

Andrew is a also an accomplished photographer having been published in a number of magazines including National Geographic Traveler and Lonely Planet.
