Nepal is situated in the centre of the Himalayas between its neighbours India and Tibet. It is a country with a diverse landscape from the ten highest mountains in the world including Everest, Annapurna, Makalu and Kanchenjunga to sub tropical jungle with a range of exotic plants, flowers and trees.

Trekking in Nepal mainly follows the long established trails between villages and ancient trading routes over the higher passes, which allows trekkers to access this beautiful and intriguing country.

The treks in Nepal are possible for all activity levels, from comfortable adventures exploring the foothills sleeping in luxury lodges to demanding treks in remote, mountainous areas. To help make your choice easier we have three categories of treks in Nepal: Luxury, Classic and Adventurous; which are all graded for difficulty.

The traditional trekking season in Nepal is late September to May, with October and November generally recognised as having the best weather. Spring is also a popular time of year with warmer weather and the advantage of seeing spring flowers and rhododendrons in bloom. December and February are good times to visit due to fewer other trekkers but it will be colder.
