Information on booking international flights

A varied journey from visiting monasteries to trekking through the lush forests of Sikkim and finally to Darjeeling hill station. Sikkim is famous for its large variety of flora especially its orchids of which they are over 600 species and a wide variety of animals including bears, red pandas, silver foxes, leopards and monkeys.

We stay at high standard hotels every night apart from the second night when we take the Inter City Radjani Express train to Siliguri. The combination of exploring a new destination each day while staying in good hotels has proved to be a very popular way of seeing the beautiful Indian states of Sikkim and West Bengal. For details of the hotels used see the Accommodation section in the Trip Dossier.

The itinerary has been written by Roland who spent time exploring this area in 2005- it has been designed to show you the best places. You will visit takes wildlife sanctuaries, tea gardens, national parks, monasteries and the interesting Everest museum (where you can see the original British flag planted by Ed Hilary and Tenzing Norgay on the first ascent of Everest in 1953).
