He knows the trail well having organised an expedition to climb Dhaulagiri in the 1990s. This is a challenging trek around Dhaulagiri (8,167m) via the French Pass and Hidden Valley. The trek starts at Beni and follows the Myagdi Khola towards Dhalulagiri base camp. From here will cross the French Pass at 5,360m and into the Hidden Valley before crossing Dhampus Pass and then making the long descent to the village of Marpha.
