The Discovery series are leisurely treks giving you time to enjoy the views and the culture of Nepal. The Everest discovery trek takes you to some of the prettiest Sherpa villages and to Namche bazaar, the colourful and vibrant heart of Sherpa country. There are opportunities to visit the main monasteries of the Khumbu region- Tengboche, Thame, Thulo Gumela and Uche Chholing.
The trail between lodges takes you through beautiful Nepalese villages with spectacular views of the Khumbu and Everest region. This trek is a moderate walk, designed for the first time trekker, which follows some of the classic Everest base camp trail and the quieter Thame valley. The trek will be led by a local guide or sherpa who no doubt will introduce you to locals along the way and share his knowledge of the sherpa culture- this is often the aspect that trekkers enjoy the most!
The mountain scenery is stunning with a range of the classic peaks visible along the trail including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Kang Tega, Thamserku and Pumori.
After the trek you could extend your holiday by visiting the Royal Chitwan National Park where you can go on an elephant safari, birdwatching or a jungle walk.

- Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu
- Day 2 Fly to Lukla (2,840m), trek to Phakding (2,610m), afternoon option to visit Thulo Gumela monastery
- Day 3 Trek to Monjo (2,850m), afternoon option to visit Uche Chholing monastery
- Day 4 Trek to Namche bazaar (3,445m)
- Day 5 Rest & acclimatisation day in Namche Bazaar
- Day 6 Trek to Thame (3,801m)
- Day 7 Trek to Khumjung (3,791m)
- Day 8 Trek to Tengboche (3,867m)
- Day 9 Spare day for exploring the area or day trek to Pangboche
- Day 10 Return to Namche Bazaar
- Day 11 Return to Lukla
- Day 12 Fly to Kathmandu, rest day of at leisure
