The Singalila ridge trek follows the main spur running south from the vast Kanchenjunga massif. The ridge is heavily forested with oak and rhododendron forest and has superb views of many well known peaks- Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Kangchenjunga and Chomolhari.
Sikkim is one of India's most beautiful states, situated between India and Tibet, bordered by Nepal, Bhutan and West Bengal. The population is mainly Buddhist and with the high rainfall experienced by the eastern Himalaya making it very lush with an incredibly rich flora and fauna. Over 700 species of birds have been recorded in Sikkim and more than 4000 species of flowering plants.
The journey starts with a flight to Bagdogra in eastern India followed by a fascinating drive to the famous hill station of Darjeeling. There is time for sightseeing in Darjeeling starting with views of the sunrise of Kanchenjunga on Tiger Hill and then the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, zoo and tea plantations. After the trek we spend a night in the smaller hill station of Kalimpong, staying at the historic Himalayan hotel, before returning to Darjeeling.

OUTLINE ITINERARY
- Day 1 Arrive Delhi.
- Day 2 Internal flight to Bagdogra, drive to Darjeeling.
- Day 3 Morning excursion to Tiger Hill, afternoon sightseeing in Darjeeling.
- Day 4 Drive to Manebhanjan, trek to Megma (2,670m).
- Day 5 Trek to Kali Pokhari (3,070m).
- Day 6 Trek to Sandakphu (3,636m).
- Day 7 Trek to Phalut (3,600m).
- Day 8 Trek to Ramam (2,560m).
- Day 9 Trek to Rimbick (2,300m).
- Day 10 Drive to Kalimpong, rest of day exploring the hill station.
- Day 11 Drive to Bagdogra & fly to Delhi.
- Day 12 Transfer to Delhi international airport for flight back home.
