The Druk Path is a short trek connecting the valleys of Paro and Thimpu. The days average between 4 to 5 hours walking, the trail follows quiet forest trails and on to yak pastures. Before and after the trek, there are several days for visiting Bhutan’s cultural sites, including the Kyichu Lhakhang, the tiny mountain kingdoms most revered Buddhist shrine and the Ta Dzong, once a fortified watchtower and now the national museum. We also explore Punakha’s 17th century Dzong, the Wangdi valley and Thimpu with its painting school and herbal medicine institute. The Druk Path itinerary will appeal to those wanting to appreciate the splendour and culture of Bhutan and to experience pristine Himalayan trekking.
