How To Book and Pay

If you would like to book on a fixed date group departure then please complete the pre-trip questions on the trip web page under the "Book Now" button.

Once we receive your application through our website we will respond by confirming whether the trip selected is a suitable objective for you.

If you would like to book a private or custom trip then please get in touch with The Mountain Company office.

If you would like to go ahead to confirm your place on a trip then we will set you up on our online booking system and email through your tentative invoice. We will also email your username and password so you can login to our online booking system through the link at top right of our website "Client login". Once you log in to our online booking system you can click on the tab "My Trips" then "View order" then in the Order statement click on link "Tour and Registration Info". Please reply to the pre-trip questions and the relevant information such as flight and insurance details etc then click on "Update changes".

You can also view your account and balance to be paid in "Order statement", this should be the same as the confirmation invoice sent through to you earlier. Please note it is not yet possible to make online payment with this system.

Our trips are priced in a number of currencies on our website including Pounds Sterling, Euro, US Dollar, Canadian Dollar, New Zealand Dollar and Australian Dollar. We will invoice in these currencies and accept payment into our local bank accounts held in Europe, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. This means if you are from one of these countries you do not have any exchange risk on the price of the holiday and do not have the cost and hassle of making an international payment. 

Payment of the deposit or full balance for your trip acts as an acceptance to our Terms and Conditions. Our non refundable deposit for most trips is £400 (US$500 and equivalent in other currencies) although for more expensive treks such as Lunana Snowman the deposit is higher at US$1,000. For UK clients we accept cheques payable to The Mountain Trekking Company Ltd or BACS bank transfer (bank details supplied on request).

If you would like to pay for the trip in AUS$, CAD$, NZD$ or Euro we will confirm the deposit amount to you by email.

Once you have paid your deposit then a contract is deemed to exist between you and The Mountain Trekking Company Ltd trading as The Mountain Company. At this point we will send you a confirmation invoice showing the amount of deposit received and your final balance due. After receipt of your confirmation invoice you can go ahead and book your international flights and obtain travel insurance for the trip.
