ABOUT INDIA

The Himalaya stretches for 800 miles across northern India, offering spectacular opportunities for trekking and mountaineering. In the east of India there is the former Kingdom of Sikkim with trails to Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. On Nepal’s western border is the Garhwal Himalaya where there are treks with spectacular views of Nanda Devi, Shivling and Kamet. In the North West is Ladakh, one of the most remarkable regions of India geographically and culturally an extension of Tibet.

Walking and Trekking

Only a relatively small number of trekkers visit India each year however the mountain scenery and trekking trails is as impressive as any in the high mountains of the Himalaya.
