Trips and treks guaranteed to run

The weather was wonderful and of course the views were amazing. We never met any other ’walkers’ which was a real bonus.

Everest Kangshung Face and North Base Camp

The trek to the East face of Everest, or the Kangshung Face, is one of the most spectacular in the world. This trek is relatively unknown and visited by small number of trekkers each year.

The trail passes through pristine, untouched valleys and lakes then crosses two high passes Shao La at 4,915m and Langma La at 5,200m to complete a circuit trek.

Kharta and the Kama Valley are characterized by magnificent alpine scenery and rich flora containing the highest known forests in the world. Three of the world’s highest peaks Everest (8,848m), Lhotse Shar (8,382m) and Makalu (8,463m) overlook the valley. We begin our trip by exploring Lhasa for sightseeing while acclimatising to the high altitude.

We have a spectacular drive across the Tibetan plateau before meeting our trek crew at Kharta village for the start of the trek to the Kangshung face of Everest. After the trek we drive to the Rongbuk monastery and then walk up to Everest North Base Camp.
