Boudhanath Hotels

Hyatt Regency Kathmandu is a 5-star luxury hotel and resort, set in large landscaped grounds and built in the traditional Newari style of Nepalese architecture. This beautiful hotel and resort is located close to the airport and also to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the most holy of Tibetan Buddhist shrines.

Hotel Tibet International: Is located a short walk away from the Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath and there is a lovely view of this from the roof terrace. The property takes its inspiration from Tibetan architecture and there are 68 rooms with attached bathroom, TV, safe, wifi, tea/coffee making facilities and ironing board. Shangri La Kitchen serves Tibetan, Chinese and Continental dishes and there is also the Shambhala Tea Garden. At Shambhala Spa, guests can enjoy a relaxing Tibetan massage, do a manicure or get a facial. There is also a meditation room and a Tibetan carpet showroom.

Hotel Shambaling is a renovated seventies Tibetan-style house and is located 10-minute walk from Boudhanath Stupa through the narrow brick-paved lanes. There are 30 deluxe and standard rooms with every floor representing the Buddhist Kalachakra elements of Earth, Fire, Water and Sky. The colour of these elements is included in each room’s décor from the ceiling to the custom-made curtains and cushion covers. There is a lovely garden bedecked by Tibetan prayer flags and in one corner is a peepal tree. This hotel also has a meditation room and there are many Buddhist stupas and monasteries nearby. Their open kitchen restaurant is called Lungta and serves eastern and western dishes.
